Dubai International Chamber Inaugurates Representative Office in Karachi to Boost Trade and Investment Ties

Dubai International Chamber

Karachi, The Gulf Observer: The Dubai International Chamber, operating under Dubai Chambers, has officially inaugurated its new international representative office in Karachi, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral trade and investment between Dubai and Pakistan.

The launch is part of the broader ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. The initiative seeks to bolster Dubai’s position as a leading global business hub by attracting foreign direct investment and supporting the global expansion of Dubai-based companies across 30 priority markets.

The Karachi office was opened during a ceremony attended by Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, Consul General of the UAE in Karachi, alongside senior officials and notable members of Pakistan’s business community.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said,
“The inauguration of our new office marks a strategic step that reflects our firm commitment to strengthening the robust economic partnership between Dubai and Pakistan. We aim to broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation between our business communities and advance our vision to create new paths for the flow of trade and investments.”
He added that the new office will enhance the ability of Pakistani companies to leverage emerging opportunities in Dubai.

The opening comes at a time of significant growth in bilateral business relations. Dubai’s non-oil trade with Pakistan reached AED 22.8 billion in 2024. Moreover, from early 2022 to the end of Q3 2025, the number of Pakistani companies registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce surged by 161%, reaching 33,110. During the first nine months of 2025 alone, 6,850 new Pakistani companies joined the chamber.

The new office in Karachi will play a crucial role in assisting businesses from both sides. It will work with Pakistan’s public and private sectors to strengthen partnerships while highlighting Dubai’s advantages as a global business destination. The office will also offer market intelligence to help Pakistani companies establish a presence in Dubai and utilize the emirate as a platform for international expansion.

Additionally, the office will support Dubai-based companies seeking to enter the Pakistani market by providing expert guidance, identifying commercial and investment opportunities, and connecting them with reliable local partners to facilitate smooth and successful market entry.
