Egyptian Orascom Construction to create industrial zone in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with a delegation of the Egyptian company Orascom Construction, led by the CEO of the Building Materials Division Omar Bebars.
The Egyptian side highly appreciated the results of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Egypt, which took place in February this year and gave a powerful impetus to active interaction between the business circles of the two countries, the implementation of new joint investment projects.

During the talks, the results of several working meetings of the Egyptian delegation held the day before with the heads of industry associations and local authorities were summed up. The possibilities of implementing a project to create an industrial zone in Navoi region to accommodate enterprises producing finished electrical, textile, and pharmaceutical products were studied.

Responsible persons of the company also shared plans to manage new industrial parks specializing in producing finished textile products in Tashkent, Andijan, Kashkadarya and Namangan regions.

Readiness was expressed to provide comprehensive support in attracting investments, experience, and innovative developments of the company to Uzbekistan.
