England defeated Pakistan in the Karachi Test to complete a clean sweep

Karachi, The Gulf Observer: England have completed a 3-0 whitewash over Pakistan after thrashing the hosts in the third and final Test at National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday.

Notably, the game was already done and dusted on the fourth day when England bundled out Pakistan for 216 in their second innings to get a target of just 167 runs.

The tourists finished with 112/2, needing just 55 runs to win the contest on the final day, which they accomplished in 28.1 overs. Opener Ben Duckett remained unbeaten at 82 from 78 deliveries with the help of 12 boundaries. Similarly, captain Ben Stokes also stayed undefeated at 35.

Earlier, Pakistan scored 304 in their first innings and in reply, the English team posted 354, with Harry Brook smashing a sensational century. Spinner Jack Leach picked up seven wickets in the match, while debutant Rehan Ahmed also bagged seven scalps, including a five-wicket haul in the second innings.
