Enhancement of Pak-Kyrgyz cooperation in education sector emphasized

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of education. In particular, they emphasized the importance of organizing mutual visits of the delegation to exchange experience in terms of educational methods and programs, as well as student and academic exchanges.
H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev noted the commitment of the Government of Kyrgyzstan to the development of the education sector, the introduction of innovative teaching methods, as well as the establishment of cooperation with foreign partners to exchange educational practices. In this regard, he expressed his interest in developing comprehensive cooperation with the Pakistani side through the conclusion of bilateral agreements, in particular Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Higher Education Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as through the organization of joint events.
In addition, he expressed a request to the Pakistani side to assist in the removal of restrictions for some medical universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, implemented by the Pakistan Medical Commission.
Taking into account the prospects for further intensification of cooperation, he invited the Pakistani side to visit the Kyrgyz Republic to get acquainted with the activities of Kyrgyz educational institutions, search for opportunities in terms of academic and student exchanges, as well as achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
In his turn, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, noting the important role of education in building a peaceful and stable global community, announced his readiness to organize mutual visits of delegations from the field of education in the near future, which, in his opinion, will give a significant impetus to the Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation.
