Erdogan Engages in Discussions with Zelenskyy

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: According to Türkiye’s Communications Directorate, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan engaged in a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, centered on deliberations regarding both regional and global matters of significance. The primary emphasis of their discussion revolved around the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict, signifying the pivotal attention dedicated to addressing pressing geopolitical concerns. This dialogue underscores the proactive stance taken by both leaders in navigating complex geopolitical landscapes and signifies their commitment to fostering a resolution to the conflict, in line with the shared interests of their respective nations and the broader global community.

In a recent phone call on Friday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed that Türkiye is actively engaged in “intense efforts” aimed at halting the ongoing bloodshed in both Ukraine and Palestine. Erdogan emphasized Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to fostering lasting peace in these regions, underscoring the urgency and dedication with which the nation is pursuing initiatives aimed at achieving sustained tranquility. This assertion highlights Türkiye’s proactive role and resolute endeavors in mediating conflicts, aligning with the broader objective of cultivating enduring peace in these geopolitical arenas.

Erdogan expressed Türkiye’s active endeavours in contributing to the resolution of conflicts and fostering stability in the region.

President Erdogan reiterated that Türkiye is ready to undertake role of facilitator and host talks to ensure peace in Ukraine.

Emphasising the need to restructure the grain corridor and make it operational again, as well as ensuring urgent ceasefire, he said that diplomatic contacts continue for this end.

The Turkish leader stressed the urgency of attaining a ceasefire in Ukraine swiftly, advocating for the prompt opening of avenues toward peace.
