Erdogan Vows Unyielding Stance Against Supporters of Israel

Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: In a resolute declaration, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s unwavering stance against entities supporting Israel, vowing not to succumb to the influence of pro-Israel lobbies.

Addressing attendees during an iftar program held in Istanbul on Saturday, Erdogan asserted, “We’re aware of who supports Israel and the lobbies behind them. We haven’t yielded to these lobbies until now, and we won’t in the future.”

Erdogan underscored the rarity of voices opposing Israel and its Western allies, emphasizing that apart from Türkiye and select nations, the global response remains muted. He stressed Türkiye’s steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian cause, highlighting the nation’s consistent advocacy for justice and rights.

“In tandem with the Palestinian people, Türkiye has remained a beacon of support for oppressed communities worldwide,” Erdogan stated, emphasizing the country’s humanitarian endeavors amidst crises.

Furthermore, Erdogan condemned the deliberate targeting of hospitals, health workers, and places of worship by occupying forces in Gaza, shedding light on the egregious violations of international humanitarian law.

“We do not heed those who mislabel our Palestinian brethren, who courageously resist oppression, as terrorists,” Erdogan asserted, reaffirming Türkiye’s stance in support of the Palestinian struggle for self-determination and justice.
