European Arab Medical Congress Kicks Off in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The European Arab Medical Congress (EAMC) officially commenced today in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone in promoting international medical collaboration. The three-day event, organized by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies, brings together experts in medicine, research, and technology from the UAE and across Europe.
The congress, supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau, is hosted at the headquarters of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) and features over 500 medical professionals, 60 expert speakers, and 20 leading global institutions.
The opening session was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council and Chancellor of the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies; Dr. Fayza AlYafei, Executive Director of the Care Quality Sector at the Abu Dhabi Department of Health; and Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE.
Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of the congress, stating, “The European Arab Medical Congress is a unique global platform fostering collaboration across continents. It supports our efforts to develop sustainable healthcare systems. Through innovation and knowledge sharing, the UAE reaffirms its position as a leading destination for comprehensive healthcare solutions that make a meaningful global impact.”
This year’s congress focuses on cutting-edge advancements in medical and scientific research, including artificial intelligence applications and global best practices in healthcare. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the future of healthcare, promote innovation, and exchange expertise.

As an annual event, the European Arab Medical Congress strengthens partnerships between European and Arab medical communities, serving as a global platform to share pioneering research, innovative solutions, and best practices to address pressing global health challenges.
Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, added that hosting the congress at ZHO underscores their commitment to strengthening local, regional, and international partnerships to enhance infrastructure and knowledge in medicine and social care.
Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General of Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies and Chair of the Opening Session, emphasized the importance of scientific research in driving sustainable progress in healthcare.
