FC Qarabag Defeats Ferencvaros 3:1 in UEFA Champions League Play-Off First Leg
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s FC Qarabag secured a decisive 3:1 away victory over Hungarian champions Ferencvaros in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round.
After a goalless first half, Marko Jankovic opened the scoring for the Aghdam side in the 50th minute, followed by Kevin Medina’s strike in the 67th minute. Musa Gurbanli sealed the win with an 85th-minute goal, giving Qarabag a commanding advantage ahead of the return fixture.
The second leg will be held at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku on August 27, with kickoff scheduled for 20:45 local time.
