Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz Arrives in Uzbekistan

Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit on September 15. The distinguished guest was warmly welcomed at Samarkand Airport by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister J. Khodjayev and other high-ranking officials. In honor of Chancellor Scholz, the national flags of both nations were raised, and a guard of honor was assembled.

The main events of the official visit will take place at the Congress Center in Samarkand. High-level talks between the two leaders are planned, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for enhanced cooperation in various sectors. A joint meeting between Chancellor Scholz and President Mirziyoyev with representatives of the business communities from both countries will also be held, aimed at fostering economic collaboration.

As part of the official program, Chancellor Scholz is expected to visit some of Samarkand’s historical and cultural landmarks, further emphasizing the cultural and diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and Germany.
