Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Visit China for Official Talks
Berlin, The Gulf Observer: Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz is set to embark on an official visit to China from April 14 to 16 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, announced Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Friday.
During the visit, Chancellor Scholz will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Premier Li Qiang will hold talks with him to exchange views on bilateral relations and discuss matters of mutual interest, Mao stated at a regular press conference.
Mao emphasized that China views Germany as a crucial partner for win-win cooperation and supports Germany in playing a more significant role not only in Europe but also globally.
Highlighting the mutually beneficial relationship between China and Germany, Mao noted that both nations have contributed to the steady and sustained development of China-EU relations, fostering greater stability in the international arena.
In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany, Mao expressed China’s readiness to collaborate closely with Germany to deepen understanding, trust, and cooperation, thereby advancing bilateral ties and contributing to global peace and prosperity.
