Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan Meets Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Farhadov to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Federal Minister for Privatization, Investment Board, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, to discuss strategies for enhancing economic relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. The meeting focused on creating more investment opportunities, exploring mutual development prospects, and strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Azerbaijani leadership during his recent visit. He praised Azerbaijan’s strong interest in large-scale investments in Pakistan, noting that this enthusiasm is highly encouraging. Khan assured that the Pakistani government will offer full support and facilitation to Azerbaijani investors through relevant institutions, emphasizing that now is the right time to implement key investment initiatives.

In addition, Khan announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to visit Azerbaijan soon, which would further solidify the partnership between the two nations. Ambassador Farhadov congratulated Minister Khan on his successful visit and reiterated that Azerbaijan’s leadership and people value their relationship with Pakistan. He also expressed anticipation for Prime Minister Sharif’s upcoming visit.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan specifically highlighted the lucrative investment opportunities available in Pakistan, particularly in road infrastructure projects such as the M-6 and M-9 motorways. He noted that these projects offer substantial benefits for Azerbaijani investors, further deepening the ties between the two countries.
