French Senator Samantha Cazebonne to Pay Official Visit to Turkmenistan

Paris, The Gulf Observer: French Senator Samantha Cazebonne, who represents French citizens living abroad, will undertake an official visit to Turkmenistan from June 23 to 24, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France announced. The visit was confirmed following a meeting held at the French Senate between Senator Cazebonne and Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to France, H.E. Maksat Chariyev.
The forthcoming visit will include a series of bilateral meetings and participation in events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of French language instruction in Turkmenistan. The milestone is expected to be marked through various cultural and academic engagements, further underscoring the strength of Turkmen-French educational relations.
Senator Cazebonne’s visit is anticipated to serve as a significant step in bolstering humanitarian and educational cooperation between the two countries. During their discussions, the Senator and Ambassador Chariyev also reviewed progress in implementing the 2025–2026 Roadmap for cooperation in general and higher education. The roadmap was signed during the official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to France on May 5.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral collaboration in the fields of education and culture, highlighting the shared interest in expanding academic exchanges and institutional partnerships.
The upcoming visit reflects the deepening of long-standing ties between Turkmenistan and France, particularly in the areas of language, culture, and youth engagement.
