Fujairah to Host Three International Tennis Tournaments with $200,000 Prize Pool
Fujairah, The Gulf Observer: The UAE Tennis and Padel Federation, in cooperation with Fujairah Tennis Club, has announced the organisation of three major international tennis tournaments in Fujairah, offering total prize money of $200,000. The events are supported by the Fujairah Government and will be held in collaboration with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
The announcement was made during a press conference held on Sunday evening at the headquarters of Fujairah Tennis Club, attended by senior officials from the federation and the club.
According to the organisers, the women’s tournament will be staged from January 26 to 31, with prize money of $100,000, and will feature a strong field of top-ranked international players.
The second and third tournaments are scheduled to take place on March 2 and March 9, respectively, with each event offering prize money of $50,000.
Officials noted that hosting internationally ranked tournaments represents a significant milestone for Fujairah Tennis Club. They added that the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to promote the development of tennis in the emirate, support national players, and further strengthen the UAE’s presence on the global tennis stage.
