Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inaugurates second phase of Arkadag City development
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s National Leader and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, conducted a working trip to Arkadag City on Saturday. The purpose of the visit was to inaugurate the second phase of development for the new city.
During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with various projects related to road reconstruction, the construction of modern bridges, and the plans for the placement of new road and transport infrastructure facilities, the official Turkmen media reports.
Furthermore, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was presented with reports on the progress of road reconstruction and city expansion efforts. The reports included information on projects aimed at modernizing the roads within the new city, such as the development of ring roads, bypass roads, and ropeway roads. Additionally, the reports covered projects for the reconstruction of avenues, pavements and the incorporation of additional land plots into the city of Arkadag.
While reviewing the projects, the National Leader of the Turkmen people provided several remarks and necessary corrections. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the objects’ quality, timely completion, and incorporation of elements of national architecture and advanced trends in urban development. Additionally, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the need to utilize the latest technologies and innovations and adhere to the deadlines for implementing the works.
In addition, the mayor of Arkadag City, Shamuhammet Durdylyev, informed the National Leader of the Turkmen people about an order issued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The order authorized a Turkmen delegation, led by the mayor of Arkadag city, to travel to the Federal Republic of Germany from November 13 to 18 this year. Their visit aims to become familiar with the production and technical features of specialized machinery and equipment designed for municipal purposes. The focus is on identifying machinery that complies with international efficiency and environmental safety standards.
In his report, Shamuhammet Durdylyev highlighted the enthusiastic migration of thousands of residents to Arkadag City. He also mentioned that developing essential facilities such as life support, schools, kindergartens, medical centres, trade, and service facilities is underway in the new city.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of creating optimal conditions for the citizens. This includes providing housing for students who are interning in the city, thereby ensuring their well-being and comfort during their stay.
After the trip, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring that all the projects and works in the new city are of exemplary quality. He expressed his wishes for success to all those involved in accomplishing the assigned tasks.
