Avaza, The Gulf Observer: As part of his ongoing working visit to the Balkan Velayat, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, undertook a sea cruise aboard a vessel to assess ongoing development efforts along the coastline of the National Tourist Zone Avaza, the country’s official state news agency reported on Wednesday.

During the maritime tour, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov closely examined the progress of landscaping and infrastructure development projects in the area. He emphasized the need to accelerate construction and renovation work, paying particular attention to architectural design, lighting systems, and the preservation of the natural environment. In line with his vision for sustainable development, the National Leader issued instructions for the expansion of green areas and the implementation of further landscaping initiatives.

Following the cruise, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty visited one of the venues designated for cultural and humanitarian events that will take place during the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). There, he reviewed modernization plans for the site, which include the installation of decorative fountains, traditional tea houses, children’s recreational zones, and enhanced street lighting and aesthetic features.

The National Leader was also presented with layout plans for future facilities, including a stage for musical performances. After a detailed review, he provided constructive feedback and proposed several design adjustments to align the projects with both national identity and international standards.

Berdimuhamedov underscored the importance of integrating contemporary design with Turkmen architectural traditions, stating that all construction and finishing materials must adhere to high standards of quality, durability, and visual appeal. He also stressed that all projects should be designed with long-term functionality and sustainable use in mind.

The working visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Balkan Velayat is ongoing, with further activities planned in the lead-up to the landmark LLDC3 forum, which Turkmenistan will host in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
