H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Visits GITEX Global 2025

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), visited GITEX Global 2025, the world’s largest technology and artificial intelligence exhibition, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
During her visit, Her Highness was briefed on the latest innovations and digital solutions showcased by exhibitors representing nearly 180 countries. She praised the extensive efforts behind organizing the event, which marks its 45th edition this year, and commended its success in consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading hub for global technology and innovation.
Sheikha Latifa emphasized that GITEX Global has evolved into a strategic platform that unites industry pioneers, entrepreneurs, and major institutions from around the world, fostering collaboration and advancing innovation to enhance human well-being and progress.
“GITEX Global is a testament to the leadership’s commitment to harnessing technology as a driver of sustainable growth and prosperity,” Her Highness said. “The event underscores Dubai’s pivotal role in building partnerships and fostering collaboration among the world’s leading technology innovators and developers, while empowering startups to explore new growth opportunities. Her Highness further highlighted the interconnection between technology and creativity, noting that technological advancement has become a vital tool for expanding access to art, culture, and knowledge.
“Just as technology today permeates every aspect of daily life, it has also become a cornerstone for advancing cultural and creative development,” she said. “Integrating modern technologies into the cultural sector reshapes the concept of creativity, making it more inclusive, impactful, and capable of reaching wider audiences. Accompanied by Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet; Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai; and Aisha Miran, Director-General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, Sheikha Latifa toured several national and international pavilions participating in this year’s edition, which features over 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups from across the globe.
Her Highness visited the UAE Cybersecurity Council pavilion, where she was briefed on key initiatives enhancing the country’s digital transformation and cybersecurity infrastructure, as well as international partnerships that bolster global cooperation in cybersecurity.
She also visited the pavilion of the EDGE Group, one of the UAE’s most advanced technology conglomerates, where she reviewed innovations in cybersecurity and defense technologies.
Additionally, Sheikha Latifa met representatives of leading international firms specializing in cybersecurity and digital asset protection, including CrowdStrike and Recorded Future, underscoring the importance of protecting the digital ecosystem as a cornerstone of modern life and a foundation for all critical sectors.
Her Highness’s visit reaffirmed Dubai’s vision of positioning technology and innovation at the heart of sustainable development, while promoting the integration of digital advancements into cultural and creative fields to drive inclusive progress.
