High-Level Iranian Delegation Arrives in Islamabad for Crucial Talks with United States

Islamabad:, The Gulf Observer: A high-level delegation from Iran has arrived in Islamabad to participate in critical negotiations with the United States, marking a significant diplomatic development aimed at easing regional tensions.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the Iranian delegation is being led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament. The delegation also includes Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Upon arrival in the Pakistani capital, the Iranian delegation was warmly received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Senior Pakistani officials, including Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, were also present to استقبال the distinguished guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed optimism that the talks would proceed in a constructive manner. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating dialogue and supporting efforts toward a sustainable and lasting resolution of the ongoing dispute.
The much-anticipated Iran–U.S. negotiations are scheduled to take place in Islamabad later today.
Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has departed for Islamabad to lead the American delegation. Expressing confidence ahead of the talks, he stated that the United States is prepared to engage positively, provided Iran demonstrates goodwill.
The U.S. delegation is expected to include Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, senior advisor and son-in-law of President Donald Trump.
Pakistan has extended full logistical and visa facilitation to the visiting delegations as well as international journalists covering the high-stakes talks, underscoring its proactive role in promoting diplomacy and regional stability.
