HM Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik Awards Oman Military Order to Seconded Chief British Officer

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: In a ceremony underscoring the deep-rooted diplomatic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has conferred the Oman Military Order (Second Class) upon Major General Felix Gidney, the seconded senior British officer.

The prestigious Oman Military Order (Second Class) was presented to Major General Gidney by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. The ceremony took place during a reception hosted by His Highness, held in his office at the Major General Staff, to bid farewell to the seconded Chief British Officer at the conclusion of his duties in the Sultanate.

His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said expressed gratitude to Major General Gidney for his dedicated efforts in fortifying the bilateral relations between Oman and the United Kingdom. The Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs commended the seconded senior British officer for his significant contributions during his tenure, wishing him continued success in his future endeavors.
