ICSF, Beijing and UOS to Launch Joint Fellowship Program
Sargodha, The Gulf Observer: On Aug 26, 2025, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), visited the University of Sargodha (UOS) at Sargodha, Pakistan.
During his visit, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram met Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Dr. Tahir Mumtaz Awan, Director of the Pakistan Institute of China Studies and Host Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Sargodha, and the heads of various departments. The visit centered on expanding research collaboration between the institutions.
Mr. Akram gave a detailed briefing about the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC) Fellowship Program, outlining its aims and objectives, core themes, eligibility criteria and benefits for the students. He also highlighted the role of this fellowship program in building intellectual exchanges, promoting mutual understanding, a thorough understanding of the concept of Community with Shared Future, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and all other initiatives started by the Chinese government to enhance connectivity and cultural cooperation.
As a significant outcome of the visit, it was decided to initiate a Fellowship Program in collaboration with the University of Sargodha (UOS), creating new opportunities for students to get benefitted from joint initiative. The Pakistan Institute of China Studies at the University of Sargodha will act as the focal institute for this important collaboration.
