Ilham Aliyev and Lithuanian President Discuss Bilateral Relations in Oxford

Oxford, The Gulf Observer: At the request of Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, a meeting was held with Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to discuss the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between their respective countries.
President Nausėda congratulated President Aliyev on the organization of COP29, expressing his gratitude for the invitation to the event. He affirmed his plans to meet with the Azerbaijani leader in Baku during COP29.
President Nausėda also fondly recalled his official visit to Azerbaijan and the issues discussed during that visit. The leaders exchanged views on the regional peace agenda and Azerbaijan-European Union relations, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation.
Both leaders expressed regret that Armenia had not responded positively to the proposal from the UK to hold a meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the format of the Munich Security Conference.
This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthening their bilateral relations and working together on key regional and international issues.
