Indonesia Pledges Enhanced Cooperation with African Nations at Bali IAF
Bali, The Gulf Observer: Indonesia has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening cooperation and solidarity with African nations at the gala dinner of the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum for Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) in Bali.
President Joko Widodo emphasized Indonesia’s dedication to fostering stronger ties with African countries, stating, “Indonesia is committed to strengthening cooperation and solidarity with countries in the African region.” He expressed confidence that the discussions and collaborations at these forums would significantly contribute to inclusive and sustainable global development.
The 2nd IAF, themed “Bandung Spirit for Africa’s Agenda 2063,” and the HLF MSP 2024, focusing on “Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Towards a Transformative Change,” serve as key platforms for advancing these goals. The forums include crucial sessions such as the Indonesia-Africa Joint Leaders Session, the HLF MSP 2024, and a High-Level Plenary Session.
In addition to the main events, there are 12 parallel sessions and 17 side events scheduled to take place until September 3, 2024. These discussions will address a wide range of topics related to sustainable development, including strategies for enhancing cross-sector and cross-country collaboration to tackle global challenges.
The HLF MSP 2024 in Bali aims to serve as a platform for promoting policy dialogue and reinforcing global commitment to sustainable development. With the participation of diverse stakeholders from around the world, Indonesia seeks to play a pivotal role in driving more inclusive and sustainable transformation on a global scale.
