International Biology Olympiad 2024 Concludes in Astana

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The prestigious International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2024 concluded in the Kazakh capital, Astana, according to media reports. This year’s event brought together 305 young biologists and 275 scientists from 81 countries, marking a significant gathering of some of the brightest minds in the field.

At today’s closing ceremony, the Kazakh Enlightenment Minister Gani Beissembayev thanked all those present and the organizing committee for their high praise of the event. He congratulated all the Olympiad winners and runners-up, expressing confidence that they would rise to distinction due to their scientific breakthroughs.

The Kazakh team, consisting of Galymzhan Baktybai, Amina Tynyrbay, Nurtore Torekhanuly, and Dias Suleimenov, won four bronze medals in the IBO 2024. Their achievements reflect the high standards of education and dedication in the field of biology within Kazakhstan.

Minister Beissembayev’s remarks emphasized the importance of such international competitions in fostering scientific talent and collaboration across borders. He highlighted the role of these young scientists in driving future innovations and breakthroughs.
