Iran and Azerbaijan Strengthen Ties with Hydroelectric Projects on Araz River

East Azerbaijan, The Gulf Observer: President of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi reaffirmed the deep and enduring relationship between Iran and Azerbaijan during a ceremony to commission the “Khudafarin” hydroelectric complex and inaugurate the “Giz Galasi” hydroelectric complex on the Araz River.

“We, of course, are brotherly, neighboring, and friendly countries,” President Raisi stated. “Iran’s relationship with Azerbaijan is more than a relationship with a neighbor. This connection and bond are very strong and very deep. This bond, this relationship is based on the deep historical, cultural, and religious ties between the two countries.”

The inauguration of these significant hydroelectric projects underscores the cooperative spirit between Iran and Azerbaijan, reflecting their shared commitment to mutual development and regional stability.
