Iran Expresses Willingness to Enhance Health Sector Cooperation with Malaysia

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran has expressed its readiness to expand cooperation in the health sector with Malaysia, as announced during a meeting between Iran’s ambassador to Kuala Lumpur, Valiollah Mohammadi, and Malaysia’s Minister of Health, Dzulkefly Ahmad, on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mohammadi highlighted Iran’s capabilities in the production of medicine, medical equipment, and hygiene products. The discussion also explored various avenues for strengthening bilateral relations, including the exchange of academic and expert delegations between the two countries.

Minister Ahmad appreciated Iran’s invitation for an official visit, which he indicated could occur in early 2025. He expressed Malaysia’s interest in leveraging Iran’s expertise and potential in the health and hygiene sectors.

Furthermore, Minister Ahmad emphasized the importance of finalizing and signing a draft memorandum of understanding on health sector cooperation between Malaysia and Iran, signaling a commitment to formalize and enhance collaborative efforts in this vital field.
