Iran, Qatar Resolve Misunderstandings Following High-Level Talks

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi announced that all misunderstandings between Iran and Qatar have been fully resolved following his recent visit to Doha, describing his talks with Qatari officials as “fruitful, serious, and constructive.”
In an interview with Al-Sharq newspaper on Friday, Araghchi praised his meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, highlighting the positive outcomes of their discussions. He said the talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing a past misunderstanding linked to Iran’s response to a U.S. strike, which involved an attack on the Al Udeid base in Qatar.
Araghchi further noted that his discussions with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani were “productive and beneficial.” The meetings, he said, covered regional stability, the importance of renewed dialogue among neighboring states, and joint efforts to counter the expansionist ambitions and aggression of the Israeli regime.
The Iranian nuclear program was also a central topic of discussion. Araghchi emphasized that Qatar has consistently maintained a constructive stance on the matter, underscoring Doha’s role as a valuable partner in regional diplomacy.
The Iranian foreign minister arrived in Qatar on Thursday for high-level consultations with the country’s leadership. His full interview with Al-Sharq is scheduled for publication on Sunday.
