Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has underlined that the successful cooperation model between independent nations such as Iran and Russia demonstrates that the era of unipolarity in global affairs has come to an end.

Speaking during a meeting with Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev in Tehran on Wednesday evening, President Pezeshkian stressed that independent states are capable of advancing national growth and development without reliance on unilateral powers.

The Iranian leader voiced optimism about the ongoing collaboration between Tehran and Moscow, emphasizing the mutual commitment to accelerating the implementation of bilateral agreements. He pointed to the shared determination of both sides to push forward joint projects, particularly in transportation, energy, and power generation.

President Pezeshkian called for the swift translation of outcomes from expert-level meetings into practical measures, urging ministers and technical teams from both countries to work diligently toward achieving tangible results. He further expressed hope that continued diplomatic exchanges would broaden the scope of Iran-Russia relations, and asked Minister Tsivilev to convey his warm regards to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

For his part, Minister Tsivilev delivered President Putin’s greetings and briefed President Pezeshkian on his meetings with Iranian officials, where discussions focused on the implementation of agreements reached under the framework of the joint economic commission.
