Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned Israel’s recent military strike on Qatar, describing it as part of a wider pattern of aggression that has previously targeted Iran, Yemen, and Palestine.

Speaking at a press conference in Tunisia, Araghchi labeled Israel as “the greatest threat to peace and security in the region” and called on Islamic nations to take collective action in response. “The threat posed by the Zionist regime requires a united decision,” he emphasized, highlighting the necessity of regional solidarity against what he described as expansionist policies.

He also expressed appreciation to Tunisia for its firm stance in condemning Israel’s attack, praising the country’s “clear and resolute support for the Iranian people.”

In addition to regional security matters, Araghchi underscored progress in bilateral relations between Iran and Tunisia. He announced that both sides had reached promising agreements to expand cooperation in trade, healthcare, science, and culture.

A key outcome of his visit was the agreement to reconvene the Iran-Tunisia Joint Economic Commission in Tehran for the first time in over eleven years. “We made important decisions today to advance our relations,” Araghchi said. “Increasing political exchanges and boosting tourism were among the priorities. The revival of the joint economic commission marks a new chapter in our partnership.”
