Iranian FM congratulates Muslims of world on Unity Week

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has extended a message of congratulations to his counterparts in the Islamic countries and all Muslims around the world on the occasion of Unity Week starting on September 27.

Amirabdollahian offered the congratulations in a post on his account on the X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday.

In his post, Amirabdollahian appreciated the late Imam Khomeini – the founder of the Islamic Republic in Iran – for his initiative to designate the week that marks the days within the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

In a related development, the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference will be held in the Iranian capital on October 1, 2023, for three days.

Based on the website of the conference, the purpose of the International Islamic Unity Conference is to create unity and solidarity among Muslims, develop consensus among scholars and scientists to approximate their scientific and cultural viewpoints, present practical solutions in order to reach Islamic Unity and Unified Islamic Ummah in the Islamic World, solve the problems of Muslims, and present solutions for them.
