Iranian Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Issues with Egyptian President El-Sisi
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Thursday in Cairo to address significant regional issues and developments. The discussions centered on escalating tensions in the Middle East, with a particular focus on the ongoing situation in Gaza and Lebanon.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasized the urgent need to increase efforts to halt the violence in Gaza, prevent aggression against Lebanon, support refugees, and curb the warmongering actions of the Israeli regime. They welcomed Iran’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at addressing these pressing concerns.
Araghchi and El-Sisi called for enhanced consultations and coordination between their nations, advocating for stronger international ties to alleviate the suffering of the populations in Lebanon and Syria and to prevent the escalation of war and aggression by the Israeli regime.
Earlier on the same day, Araghchi held a separate meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, during which they exchanged views on the regional developments, particularly the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
Cairo marks the eighth stop on Araghchi’s regional tour, which has included visits to Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, and Oman over the past week. The Iranian diplomat has intensified his diplomatic efforts to halt the ongoing Israeli attacks against the people of Gaza and Lebanon, highlighting the urgency of collaborative regional responses to the current crises.
