Iranian Leader’s Advisor Denounces Israeli Airstrike on Qatari Soil

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Ali-Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs, has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrike on Qatari soil, calling on the international community to end its silence over what he described as repeated violations of international law and national sovereignty.

“Violations of international law and encroachments on national sovereignty have become routine behavior for the Israelis,” Velayati wrote in a post on his X account on Friday. “The world must no longer remain silent.”

He further denounced the attack as a crime without limits, stressing that the strike targeted not only Qatar’s sovereignty but also Palestinians participating in a meeting in Doha. “The attack on Qatari soil and the Palestinian brothers attending the meeting is condemned,” he stated.

The Israeli military on Tuesday carried out airstrikes on residential areas in Doha, claiming responsibility in an official statement and asserting that the operation aimed to assassinate Hamas political leaders gathered in the Qatari capital to discuss a U.S.-brokered ceasefire proposal.

The strike has drawn widespread condemnation across the region and beyond, with critics warning that the escalation represents a grave threat to regional stability and international peace.
