Iranian President arrives in New York
New York, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in New York at the head of a high-ranking political delegation on Monday to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
Upon arrival in John F. Kennedy International Airport, the president was accorded welcome by Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and a number of other Iranian diplomats.
Speaking upon arrival in New York, President Raisi said that the UN General Assembly provides a chance that has to be taken for briefing Iran’s foreign policy and echoing the voice of the Iranian people.
He noted that the voice of the Iranian nation is louder than ever as they gained a major victory in a cognitive and hybrid warfare against the enemy last year.
Speaking prior to his departure to New York, President Raisi stressed that reaching out to the world, as well as regional, extra-regional and international organizations is one of the top agendas of Iran’s foreign diplomacy.
Raisi underlined that during his UN visit, he will amplify the voices of the Iranian people to the world.
Besides addressing the UN General Assembly meeting, during his stay in New York, the president is scheduled to meet with a number of the heads of state from different countries and give a speech in a gathering of Iranian expatriates residing in the US city.
