Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to travel to Islamabad on Monday, according to a statement from a Pakistani foreign ministry spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra.

President Raisi’s visit to Islamabad comes upon an invitation extended by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. During this visit, President Raisi will lead a high-level politico-economic delegation to Islamabad, reflecting the importance of bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan.

In addition to Islamabad, President Raisi’s itinerary includes visits to the cities of Lahore and Karachi, underscoring the comprehensive nature of engagements during this diplomatic trip.

The spokesperson further noted that President Raisi will be accompanied by his wife on this significant visit, marking the first official visit by a senior Iranian leader following Pakistan’s national election and the formation of the country’s new government.
