Iranian State TV Headquarters Attacked Amid Escalating Israeli Strikes

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: The headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Iran’s national television network, came under direct attack on Thursday as Israel launched a series of strikes deep inside Iranian territory. The attack occurred while several live broadcasts were underway, briefly interrupting programming on the IRIB News Network before transmission resumed.

According to Iranian media, a news anchor continued her broadcast with composure even as the studio came under fire. The extent of the damage and possible casualties among IRIB personnel remains unconfirmed at this stage.

The assault on IRIB is part of a broader wave of Israeli strikes that began overnight on June 13, described by Iranian officials as an unprovoked act of aggression. The strikes reportedly targeted both military installations and civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. Casualties have been reported among civilians, and several senior Iranian military officials were killed in targeted operations.

In response to the escalation, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appointed new top military commanders and warned that the Israeli regime would face severe consequences. That same day, Iran launched a series of retaliatory strikes, firing ballistic missiles and deploying drones at major Israeli cities including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. These attacks have reportedly forced much of the Israeli population into underground bomb shelters, bringing normal life in the occupied territories to a standstill.

Iranian authorities have stated that their operations will continue “as long as necessary,” with waves of missile and drone strikes targeting military and strategic assets within Israel. Despite stringent Israeli media censorship, footage has emerged showing precision hits by Iranian munitions on various Israeli targets.

The latest developments mark a dangerous new phase in the confrontation between Iran and Israel, with both sides trading high-level attacks and the broader region bracing for further escalation.
