Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Visit Baghdad

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to visit Baghdad on Sunday for crucial regional consultations with senior Iraqi officials, as confirmed by Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh.
In a statement on Saturday, Baghaei Hamaneh indicated that Araghchi’s visit follows diplomatic consultations with various regional countries. He will lead a delegation to Baghdad to engage in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and addressing the latest developments in the region.
During his visit, Araghchi is expected to meet with Iraq’s Foreign Minister and other high-ranking officials to explore mutual interests and strengthen ties between the two nations. The Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadeq, also affirmed the purpose of Araghchi’s trip, emphasizing the importance of dialogue on both mutual and regional issues.
Prior to this visit, Araghchi had traveled to several countries, including Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, to discuss pressing regional matters. In addition, media reports suggest that Araghchi may embark on an official trip to Cairo in the coming days, further indicating Iran’s proactive diplomatic engagement in the region.
