Kazakh President Meets Asia Infrastructure Solutions Chairman to Boost Urban Development

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Wong Heang Fine, Chairman of Asia Infrastructure Solutions Singapore, to discuss the future development of the Alatau City project, NHC reports. The high-level meeting focused on the prospects for advancing the project, with both parties exchanging views on attracting foreign investments, technologies, and expertise to ensure the efficient growth of the city.

During the discussions, President Tokayev highlighted the adoption of the Alatau City master plan in May 2024. The plan was co-developed with Singapore’s Surbana Jurong, a global urban, infrastructure, and managed services consulting firm. The project is part of Kazakhstan’s broader vision for sustainable urban development and international cooperation, aimed at positioning Alatau City as a hub for innovation and global investment.

The meeting underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to leveraging international partnerships to drive economic growth and urban transformation, with the Alatau City project serving as a key pillar in these efforts.
