Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev commenced a comprehensive tour with a visit to the Radiotherapy and Diagnostics Center situated within the premises of the Regional Multifunctional Cancer and Surgery Center. President Tokayev was given a firsthand look at the cutting-edge medical technologies employed at the center. The demonstration included the operation of state-of-the-art medical devices, such as the latest generation MRI scanner, Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator, and Discovery RT computerized tomography scanner. The facility is equipped with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), allowing for the storage of radiological images and facilitating quick retrieval and real-time study. Director Gulmira Sagidullina provided insights into the center’s operations, revealing that it conducts over 3,000 surgeries annually, with 60% utilizing minimally invasive treatment methods.
