Kazakh Senate Speaker Conveys Condolences to Russian Embassy Following Moscow Terror Attack

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Kazakh Senate Speaker, Maulen Ashimbayev, acting upon the directive of the Head of State, visited the Embassy of Russia in Kazakhstan to express condolences in the aftermath of the tragic shooting incident on the outskirts of Moscow. This visit was confirmed by the Senate’s press service.

During his visit, Speaker Ashimbayev extended heartfelt condolences to the Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, expressing profound sorrow over the devastating loss of lives in the recent incident. He laid flowers and left comments in the condolence book, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s shock and grief over the tragic events that claimed numerous civilian lives.

The gesture of solidarity follows a telephone conversation between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which President Tokayev conveyed sincere condolences on behalf of all Kazakhstani citizens. President Tokayev vehemently condemned the reprehensible terrorist attack near Moscow and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s unwavering support to Russia in combatting terrorism.

In response, President Putin expressed gratitude to President Tokayev for the solidarity and support extended by Kazakhstan in the face of such adversity.

Subsequently, President Tokayev chaired a Security Council meeting in Kazakhstan, reiterating condemnation of the act of violence near Moscow and reaffirming Kazakhstan’s steadfast solidarity with Russia in the fight against terrorism.

The terrorist attack, which occurred at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, resulted in numerous casualties, including innocent civilians and children, underscoring the urgent need for collective efforts to combat terrorism and uphold peace and security regionally and globally.
