Kazakhstan and Vietnam Initiate Visa-Free Regime in Landmark Agreement
Astana, The Gulf Observer: According to an official statement by Aibek Smadiyar, the spokesperson of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the landmark agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Vietnam regarding the exemption of visa requirements is scheduled to come into effect on May 25.
This pivotal accord, inked on August 21, 2023, amidst the diplomatic ambiance of Hanoi, signifies a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Vietnam. Its imminent implementation is poised to streamline travel procedures and foster closer ties between the two nations.
Per the provisions outlined in the agreement, nationals of Kazakhstan and Vietnam will be granted the privilege of visa-free travel between the two countries for specified durations. Specifically, individuals holding national passports from either Kazakhstan or Vietnam will be permitted to visit the respective countries without the necessity of obtaining a visa. This visa exemption extends to a duration of up to 30 days for Kazakh nationals visiting Vietnam and up to 90 days for Vietnamese nationals journeying to Kazakhstan, within any 180-day period.
