Kazakhstan Assumes Chairmanship of CSTO Permanent Council
Astana, The Gulf Observer: During a recent session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Kazakhstan’s enduring envoy to the organization, Marat Syzdykov, was appointed as the Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council according to the reports of the official Telegram channel of the Organization. The formal announcement regarding this pivotal leadership role transpired within the context of the Council’s deliberations. Syzdykov’s designation as the Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council exemplifies Kazakhstan’s elevated engagement within this strategic alliance, marking a significant milestone in guiding and shaping the organization’s agenda and initiatives.
As Kazakhstan has assumed the CSTO chairmanship from Belarus, Marat Syzdykov has been named the chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council, reads the statement.
Born in 1966 in Akmola region, Syzdykov graduated from the Seifullin Tselinograd State Pedagogical Institute, Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
