Kazakhstan, Indonesia discuss prospects to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of Kazakhstan Serzhan Abdykarimov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives (Parliament) of Indonesia Fadli Zon, according to the reports of Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service.
During the meeting, Fadli Zon conveyed his positive impressions and the successful outcomes from his recent visit to Astana in November. He emphasized the significance of interparliamentary diplomacy in fortifying the amicable and mutually advantageous relations between the two nations and their peoples.
Meanwhile, Serzhan Abdykarimov elaborated on the vast potential and promising opportunities for enhancing trade, economic, investment, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian collaborations.
To further enhance bilateral cooperation, the Kazakh diplomat suggested organizing a photo exhibition showcasing Kazakhstan next year at the Indonesian House of Representatives. This proposal received support from the counterpart.
The meeting concluded with an acknowledgment of the necessity to maintain regular dialogue between the legislative bodies of both countries. This includes invigorating the Kazakh-Indonesian interparliamentary friendship group and facilitating exchanges of high-level parliamentary visits.
