Kazakhstan’s Zauresh Akasheva Wins Bronze at WTT Feeder Panagyurishte in Bulgaria

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh table tennis player Zauresh Akasheva secured a bronze medal at the WTT Feeder Panagyurishte 2025 in Bulgaria, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced.
Akasheva delivered an impressive performance in the women’s singles event, defeating Italy’s Miriam Carnovale 3-1, Slovakia’s Dominika Wiltschkova 3-0, and Iran’s Shima Safaei 3-2. She advanced to the semifinals, where she was edged out by Ukraine’s Anastasiya Dymytrenko 1-3, ultimately finishing in third place overall.
Other Kazakh athletes also reached the quarterfinals across multiple categories. Zhanerke Koshkumbayeva advanced in the women’s singles, while Vladislav Zakharov paired with Japan’s Daito Ono in the men’s doubles. In the women’s doubles, Akasheva teamed up with Sarvinoz Mirkadirova, while Koshkumbayeva partnered with Iran’s Elina Rahimi. Additionally, Iskander Kharki and Mirkadirova represented Kazakhstan in the mixed doubles event.
The latest podium finish adds to Akasheva’s growing record on the international stage. Earlier this year, she also claimed a bronze medal at the WTT Feeder Spokane 2025 in the United States.
