Khalifa University Tops UAE in THE World University Rankings by Subject 2025

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Khalifa University of Science and Technology has secured the top position in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) across three key disciplines—Engineering, Computer Science, and Physical Sciences—in the newly released Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
The university’s Engineering programme climbed to the 126-150 band globally, reaffirming its reputation for academic excellence and research impact. Meanwhile, Computer Science entered the 176-200 band for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the university’s trajectory. Additionally, the Physical Sciences programme saw remarkable progress, advancing to the 176-200 band.
The THE World University Rankings by Subject assess institutions based on a range of performance indicators, including teaching quality, research output, citations, industry income, and international outlook.
Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University, stated:
