Lambak Kiri Secondary School Hosts Nationhood Briefing to Instill Patriotism Among Students

Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: A total of 120 students from Lambak Kiri Secondary School participated in a nationhood briefing programme yesterday, aimed at cultivating a deeper sense of patriotism, unity, and national identity.

The session was conducted by the Nationhood Unit under the Strategic Communication Section, Publication and Strategic Communication Division of the Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office. The briefing was led by Acting Information Officer and Acting Head of the Strategic Communication Section, Hajah Noorhijrah binti Haji Idris.

During the session, students were introduced to key elements of Brunei’s national identity, including the role of the monarch, the history of the nation, the correct procedures for hoisting the national flag, and the background of the national anthem ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’.

In addition to the presentation, the students took part in a nationhood quiz, designed to reinforce their understanding of the topics covered in an engaging and interactive manner.

The programme is part of a broader series of initiatives by the Information Department aimed at fostering patriotism, strengthening national values, and enhancing appreciation for Brunei’s heritage among the younger generation.

Senior Teacher of Student Affairs Maswani binti Haji Ahmad, along with other academic staff, was also present at the event, lending support to the ongoing efforts in nation-building through education.
