“Living in Berlin” Festival to Celebrate Vietnamese Culture in Berlin
Berlin, The Gulf Observer: For the first time, the Vietnamese cultural festival “Living in Berlin” will be held at the Vietnamese-owned Đồng Xuân Centre from July 25-28. Organized by the authorities of Berlin city and the Lichtenberg district, the festival aims to showcase the vibrant Vietnamese culture in Germany’s capital.
Festival-goers will have the chance to immerse themselves in various aspects of Vietnamese popular culture, including music, comedy, cinema, performing arts, and cuisine. The event will feature performances and contributions from the young generation of Vietnamese artists who have grown up in Berlin.
Martin Schaefer, Mayor of Lichtenberg district, highlighted the festival as a symbol of the long-standing friendship and bond between Việt Nam and Germany.
The festival’s diverse program includes live music, art, comedy, and dance performances. A notable highlight will be the “Tracks & Talk” talk show featuring NASHI44, a Vietnamese-origin artist known for her work as a singer, rapper, and composer.
Additionally, a Vietnamese film programme will be part of the festival, offering screenings of award-winning short films and special previews of ARD television’s new series “Made in Germany,” directed by Vietnamese-origin filmmaker Ngô Ngọc Đức.
The “Living in Berlin” festival promises to be a unique celebration of Vietnamese culture and its integration into the multicultural tapestry of Berlin.
