Macron, Zelensky Hold Phone Talks, Agree to Meet Following Alaska Summit

Paris, The Gulf Observer: French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, according to a statement from the French leader’s office, media reports said.
During the discussion, both leaders reviewed recent developments concerning Ukraine and regional security. They also agreed to hold an in-person meeting after the upcoming Alaska summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The French presidency emphasized Macron’s continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while highlighting the importance of sustained dialogue with international partners to ensure stability in Europe.
Both presidents reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination on issues of mutual concern.
