Malaysia Condemns Israel’s Attacks on Gaza, Calls for Urgent International Action

Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: Malaysia has strongly condemned Israel’s latest assaults on Gaza, particularly in Rafah, where over 600 Palestinian lives have been lost in the past three days.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry called on the United Nations Security Council and the international community to take immediate and decisive action to halt what it described as “carnage and genocide” in the Palestinian territories.
“These attacks amount to a massacre and genocide, exposing Israel’s total disregard for international law, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law,” the statement read.
The ministry further emphasized that Israel must adhere to international law, comply with relevant UN resolutions, and return to diplomatic negotiations.
It also warned that Israel’s continued aggression not only worsens an already dire humanitarian crisis but also undermines efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
“These brazen assaults, once again, prove the Israeli Zionist regime’s evil intent is the total annihilation of the Palestinian people,” the statement added.
Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying diplomatic efforts to rally international support for an immediate end to the conflict. The ministry reiterated Malaysia’s stance on the recognition of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement concluded with a call for urgent and collective global action to bring an end to the violence and to uphold justice for the Palestinian people.
