Malaysia Showcases Culinary Delights and Trade Potential at Pakistan Mango Festival 2025

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On June 12, 2025, The High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad participated in the Pakistan Mango Festival 2025, an event co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and Serena Hotels Islamabad. The festival brought together over 300 guests, including dignitaries from the government, diplomatic corps, and business and agriculture sectors.

The event was formally inaugurated by the Honourable Jam Kamal Khan, Minister for Commerce, and graced by Her Excellency Ambassador Amna Baloch, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan.

At the heart of Malaysia’s participation was a vibrant booth organised with the support of PERWAKILAN Islamabad, featuring an array of mango-infused Malaysian dishes such as Nasi Goreng Mangga, Kerabu Mangga, Agar-Agar Mangga, and Jus Mangga. High Commissioner Dato’ Azhar Mazlan personally introduced the dishes to the dignitaries, who warmly praised the rich and distinctive flavours of Malaysia’s mango-based cuisine.

Beyond the culinary presentation, the booth also highlighted Malaysia’s key tourist attractions as part of the “Visit Malaysia 2026” campaign and promoted premium Malaysian mango varieties such as Harum Manis.

The festival served as an excellent platform to strengthen bilateral ties and explore avenues for future collaboration, particularly in mango-related agro-business and trade between Malaysia and Pakistan.
