Mirziyoyev, Erdoğan Hold Phone Talks, Reaffirm Strategic Uzbekistan–Türkiye Partnership

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation on February 26 with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which he warmly congratulated the Turkish leader on his birthday.
President Mirziyoyev sincerely conveyed his best wishes to President Erdoğan, expressing hopes for good health, continued success in his state responsibilities, and lasting peace and prosperity for the fraternal people of Türkiye.
The two leaders also extended heartfelt congratulations to one another on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing its spiritual significance for the entire Muslim ummah.
During the conversation, both sides reviewed key issues related to deepening bilateral relations within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye. Discussions focused on the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level during their recent meeting in Ankara in January.
The Presidents noted with satisfaction the current highest level of interstate cooperation, highlighting that the outcomes of the latest Strategic Cooperation Council meeting have elevated bilateral ties to a qualitatively new stage of development.
Particular attention was given to advancing joint cooperation projects in line with agreed roadmaps aimed at further strengthening economic, political, and cultural collaboration.
In addition, the two leaders exchanged views on pressing international and regional matters and discussed the schedule of forthcoming high-level engagements and events.
The telephone conversation reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, underscoring their shared commitment to expanding strategic cooperation across multiple sectors.
