Baku, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from the Thematic Parliamentary Group on Literacy Program Evaluation of the Moroccan Kingdom’s House of Representatives, currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited Victory Park in Baku on Sunday.

As part of the visit, the delegation laid flowers at the Victory Monument in tribute to the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs who fell during the Patriotic War.

The guests were briefed in detail about the historical and symbolic significance of Victory Park, which was established to honor the unparalleled heroism of the Azerbaijani people during the 44-day Patriotic War, preserve the memory of the nation’s historic triumph, and immortalize the legacy of the fallen heroes.

A prominent feature of the park is the Victory Arch, which symbolizes the 44-day war. The arch rises to a height of 44 meters and spans 22 meters in width, flanked by 44 columns at the entrance. The park itself covers an area of approximately 10 hectares.

Victory Park was officially inaugurated on November 8, 2024, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
