Morocco to Host 8th Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: The Kingdom of Morocco is set to host the 8th Show of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHS) for the 2024 season from July 20th to 21st at the Institute National du Cheval Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan in Dar Es Salam, Rabat.

Held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EAHS, the event is also under the close supervision of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EAHS.

This year’s competition, exclusive to Moroccan owners and breeders, is expected to draw a significant number of Arabian horse enthusiasts from across the country. Morocco becomes the second African nation to host the EAHGC, following the 6th edition held in Egypt last June.

The National Horse Institute, named after HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, was inaugurated in 2013 in Dar Es Salam, Rabat. As the first institution dedicated to equestrian professions in Morocco, it focuses on training the next generation of equestrians and preserving Morocco’s rich equestrian heritage through national and international events.

Sheikh Zayed emphasized that the successes of the EAHGC reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his contributions to supporting the global journey of Arabian horses. He noted that hosting the 8th edition in Morocco underscores the Kingdom’s pivotal role in Arabian horse breeding and highlights the strategic UAE-Morocco partnership in advancing Arabian horse activities on an international scale.

The 2024 EAHGC season began in February in Australia, with the 7th edition held on July 7th in São Paulo, Brazil. The event in Morocco is poised to continue this tradition of excellence, showcasing the beauty and heritage of Arabian horses and fostering international equestrian camaraderie.
